Good god. I love to read. I love subjects that aren’t typical “pleasure reading†subjects. I’m intrigued with operations management for Christ’s sake. This has to be the driest, most tedious, jargon-and-statistic-laden pile of paper I have had to slog through in many years. It is painful to read. So much opportunity to liven it up and provide relevant, real-world, plain language examples, but nope, let’s do this: “...dependent on the parent corporation-include, for example, maintaining control over key inputs or technology or control over distribution; other means are through expatriate control in key positions.†What a clear and concise example!If your class requires this book and you have any other option, take any other option.
Book and content is fine I guess and a lot of info for those in international management. I had to use it for a required class for a masters program. However, for me and my interests I found the book to be incredibly boring and uninteresting, as well as my class. I did get an A but I dont think it had anything to do with the book. I only enjoyed the info about Hoftedes dimensions (which I found additional infor on the web) and communication differences because my first masters is linguistics based and I have a communications masters.
This is completely unreadable on a kindle. The text jumps around, is minuscule, and if you try to enlarge the font, the paragraph you are touching highlights instead of enlarging the page. Horrible.
Not bad condition for a rental. Would rent again.
Waaaaay better alternative than the option given at my school. Everything was fine, and shipping was quick! Only issue was a few pages were folded over or folded in half, but it happens.
Rented for Fall 2017 class, good condition, lots of real-world application examples.
